Badger ParkBadger Park is a 160-acre tribal land development comprised originally of rolling grassland plains located adjacent to the Tower Hill Road north of Eagle Butte, SD.
There are separate area’s planned for approximately 128 rental units, to include a near-elderly gated community, a 20-unit apartment complex, 35-45 home ownership, and alternative house design. The entire park will house up to 200 family units creating a total population of approximately 1000-1500 people. The site also allows for future expansion of a technology/community center, as well as a park area to include a baseball field. This developed property has all of the essential infrastructure that includes installation of the water main, force sewer main, lift station, water tower, streets, and fiber optics. The site is now complete for placement of housing units. The Cheyenne River Housing Authority partnered with CRST Tribal Projects to expand the Tribe’s sewer capacity in placement of a force main sewer system, highway bore and lift station to be diverted to the new tribal lagoon system located 2 miles SE of Eagle Butte. This will serve Badger Park Subdivision and the new tribal Touch the Cloud development located directly east of Badger Park containing 248 acres. This subdivision will include future housing sites [population capacity 800-900], commercial ventures, a new Tribal Office building, High School as well as other tribal programs. |
